How much does a custom backyard putting green cost?
Most of our DFW installations range from $25 to $40 per installed square foot, depending on contour complexity, hole count, chipping zones, and turf selection. Larger multi-hole layouts and integrated bunker systems are priced separately. You receive a fully detailed, transparent proposal after your on-site consultation.
Can I really put a tournament-quality putting green in your backyard's footprint?
Almost always, yes. We've designed a putting green in your backyard space as small as 200 square feet and as expansive as 3,000+. With creative shaping, smart cup placement, and the right contours, even a modestly sized DFW backyard can support a true single- or multi-cup green with authentic break.
How does the green actually roll — is it true to a real course?
Yes. Our tour-spec nylon putting surfaces, paired with hand-shaped sand-and-stone base systems and properly broomed infill, produce authentic ball roll and true breaks. We can tune the stimp speed during installation to match your preference, from a soft 9 to a fast 12-plus.
What ongoing maintenance is required?
Very little. Periodic brushing of the surface, occasional infill top-ups, and rinsing as needed. No mowing, no watering, no fertilizing, no aeration. Most homeowners spend a few minutes per month keeping their green in tournament condition.
Does artificial turf get too hot in Texas summers?
Traditional turf can. We install cool-tech putting systems engineered with heat-reflective fibers and high-performance infills that meaningfully reduce surface temperatures, keeping greens comfortable to play on during the hottest months.
